The Celtic Collective of Bozeman brings Gaelic musical cultures from Ireland
and Scotland alongside strong Iberian and Nordic influences.
The Celtic Collective brings together community and culture to Bozeman, Montana.
We play in the Bozeman and Gallatin Valley
to bring ‘live’ music and a jig or two to you!
We organically formed by traditional music-loving folks whose cultures collided one fine evening at a local pub in Bozeman. Our collective members include and are not limited to our regular players and performers.
Leticia , our fiddler, brings her rich ‘Madrileña’ Spanish culture into our musical character with a songbird voice to each lyrical tune for an attentive audience.
Don, our upright bass player, delivers a sweet sound while pulling his bow across the strings; his final notes at the end of “Leaving Friday Harbour” will leave one completely enamored.
Sue follows Celtic routes from Ireland to Appalachia to Montana when strumming or plucking on either her four-or five-string banjos.
Kneal is a smooth “finger picker” on the acoustic steel-string guitar. He keeps his passion for Scottish culture and music alive performing rhythm through his finger-style guitar playing.
Amanda is a highly experienced flute player and brings the melodic sound of the flute and Irish whistles to each tune.
Katherine has a natural rhythm that brings an Irish step to the dance and bodhrán.
Andrew is our Norwegian who brings percussion from his Viking roots to the sounds of the Celtic Collective.
Michele’s Irish heritage can be heard through her bodhrán as she plays to the rhythms of the northern coast of Ireland.
You’ll have a great time and enjoy the reel!
